With negotiations on a short-term continuing resolution (CR) to keep the government open past September 30th at a standstill, Defend Public Health believes that House and Senate Democrats MUST play hardball if we are to prevent the further erosion of public health, restore the power of the purse to the Congress, and protect access to health care for 24 million Americans.
